Spring has sprung!
The foliage of hemerocallis are shooting up everywhere; big bold blue green leaves, tall thin spidery leaves, small dainty mini leaves............they are all glorious. We often think only of the bloom when we describe the wonders of the various daylilies but the early spring foliage is wonderful and varied and a delight to our winter weary eyes. Walking through all the rows of daylilies I am in awe of all the wonderful differences in the leaves of this awesome plant. I will delight in this green wonderland for now and dream of what is to come when those heavenly scapes appear to herald a new bloom season.
