Shipping policy for hemerocallis
Dispatch date for your order is posted on the home page at the time of your order. You will receive written confirmation via email as well. If this date is not convenient for you just let us know and we can alter to suit your wishes. We generally select plants and prepare them on the Monday and dispatch on the Tuesday following receipt of your order if by 5 PM on the Sunday. We post them by Royal Mail First Class so you should receive your plants within 2-3 days after dispatch.
If you need your plants sent overnight or to arrive on a specific date you may purchase Guaranteed Royal Mail Overnight Delivery service for an additional £5.00 for Monday to Friday delivery, or an additional £9.00 for Saturday delivery. You may purchase this service in the general plant catalogue listed as 'Postage' but please send us an email to verify your wishes as well.
In general we dispatch bare root daylilies from April to October dependent on the weather although you can order at any time to reserve your plants. Winter and Spring orders will be dispatched in the order they were received once the weather is conducive to digging the plants. We will keep you informed as to the date your order will be sent. All other weekly orders are dispatched starting in April.
Post and packing for our hemerocallis plants are charged in addition to the cost of the plants at a rate of £5.95 per order. If you would like to add to an existing order without adding additional postage contact us via email or phone. Orders valued at £70.00 or more will be sent post-free. This applies to all of Great Britain and the Channel Islands.
Mainland EU rate is £22.00 except for Germany which is £12.95. We can send hemerocallis plants further afield subject to individual quotes for post and packing and need for plant health certification if out of the EU.
Out of stock hemerocallis
Where a variety of daylily is marked as being out of stock, it will mean that we have young plants developing for sale the following year but have sold out of mature plants for the current year. You can place a reserve order for these hemerocallis at any time by contacting us but you will not have to pay until the reserved plants are ready for dispatch.
Hemerocallis plant sizes
We will always supply the very best hemerocallis specimens that we have available. Our potted daylily stock for sale is held in 2 to 4 litre pots. The vast majority of our plants are supplied as bare-rooted double fans plus increase. The size of individual fans vary a good deal by variety. Some cultivars produce very large fans, some ‘mini’ low varieties are small, and the spidery forms are often very sparse all due to their inherent nature.
We want our customers to be happy with their daylily purchases and if, for any reason, you are not entirely satisfied you may return any plant for a free replacement or a full refund. Please contact us if you wish to return anything or have any quality queries.
