When you order from Strictly Daylilies you receive strong bare-rooted plants supplied as a minimum of 3–5 fans. Each one has been divided from a field-grown mother plant, then grown in 2–6 litre pots for 2–3 years to develop superb root systems. Before dispatch, every plant is carefully selected, washed, trimmed, and packed by hand. Orders placed by Sunday noon are usually shipped the following week to arrive Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday by 24-hour, fully tracked courier. This ensures your plants reach you promptly, ready to thrive in your garden.

Our experience with hemerocallis

Strictly Daylilies is owned and run by Paula and Chris Dyason. Paula grew up in the United States where her mother’s passion for hemerocallis filled their homestead with more than 200 varieties. Trained as a dentist but always a gardener at heart, Paula brought her love of daylilies to England in 2008 when she and Chris married. What began as a personal collection soon grew into one of the largest specialist nurseries in the country, and in 2012 Strictly Daylilies Ltd was founded.

Today the nursery holds around 2000 cultivars, spread across 5 acres of land, with breeding programmes producing 7,000–10,000 seedlings each year. Paula’s hybridising focuses on bright clear colours, unusual form, and plant habits suited to the UK climate. Her work is internationally recognised: she serves as International Chair of the American Hemerocallis Society, is an accredited AHS Garden Judge, and is a member of the Royal Horticultural Society Forum evaluating hemerocallis for the coveted Award of Garden Merit.

With the exception of early spring, when winter orders are being cleared, any order received by Sunday noon is usually prepared the following week.
